Moving Galaxy Yoga School

300-hour

Advanced Yoga Teacher Training

This 10-module training brings together a dynamic and supportive learning community, over 30 years of practice and teaching experience, a strong commitment to the vital aspects of yoga’s lineage (meditation, chanting, and philosophy), and some of the best teachers in the business. Moving Galaxy Yoga School’s 300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training is designed to level up your teaching.

This is the yoga teacher training

that your favorite yoga teacher took.

Arranged into 9 instructional modules and a final certifying module, our 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training is, first and foremost, created as a 300-hour certifying track, which includes a thesis-style research and writing project, and the creation of a signature stand-alone workshop, created from your thesis research and taught with a peer and teacher feedback component. All modules must be completed 3 years after your first weekend. Once you complete our 9 instructional modules, you’ll be eligible to register for our certifying module, which is when you’ll begin work on your thesis and workshop, with guidance from our faculty.

If you’d prefer to dip into certain weekend subjects, you’re welcome to drop in for a weekend and receive CE credits.

Moving Galaxy Yoga School is committed to providing equitable access to yoga teacher training, and offers a limited number of partial and full scholarships for BIPOC. Inquire with Anna Argeropoulos directly to apply: anna@movinggalaxy.com. No other financial aid or assistance is offered.

BHAKTI is our deep dive into the legacy of chanting. We’ll explore the tradition of the invocations to practice for various yoga lineages, some of the “greatest hits” of yoga chants, learn the basics of the shruti box and the harmonium, and find our voices. Everyone has a voice that can sing - you just need to find the right notes. You’ll explore your voice, and you will find more comfort, ease, and joy in using it! We’ll chant together and take turns leading chants to round out our day and assess our progress.

note that this has previously been bundled into a larger weekend that included pranayama. We’ve separated these offerings into two full-day immersions in order to more clearly convey the intended material and give it the space it needs to integrate.
